Koay Teow soup (or in Hokkien, Koay Teow Th'ng) is a fresh flat rice noodles are served in a clear soup. At the junction of Chulia street and Beach street, there is a coffee shop, namely Lam Ah Coffee Shop, which is selling famous beef Soup Koay Teow. This marvelous dish has attracted many people come over here to give it a try and at last yhey sure will have an unforgettable tasty experience. Most Penangites will refer this shop as 'opposite balai bomba' one (opposite of fire station) which is easily recognized by the local people. The shop is running by a young pretty lady.
